Sports and entertainment company Endeavor has expanded its global corporate communications team with two new hires and has promoted two other key execs.
Sarah Hird has joined as senior VP of communications, overseeing all communications for Endeavor’s events, experiences and rights segment, including IMG’s events and media businesses, On Location, Endeavor Streaming and OpenBet. Chad Tendler has joined the company as senior VP of corporate and financial communications, overseeing all financial and internal communications for Endeavor.
In addition, Tiffany Fang has been promoted to senior VP and head of corporate events and creative, and Marie Sheehy has been promoted to senior VP of Communications, overseeing all communications for Endeavor’s representation segment, inclusive of WME (including its sports and fashion businesses), 160over90, IMG’s licensing business and Endeavor’s nonscripted content business.
Hird, based in London, most recently was senior VP of communications for BritBox International, the BBC and ITV-backed international streaming venture. Previously, Hird was VP of global communications at sports-streaming company DAZN Group. Before that she was director of communications for Disney’s EMEA region, helping launch Disney+ internationally, and held various senior roles on Disney’s communications teams.
Tendler, based in New York, most recently was director of communications for international video game and e-commerce platform Sea Limited, and worked at Edelman as executive VP and cross-border lead for the firm’s international financial communications practice based in the U.S. Earlier, he spent more than 12 years in Asia, based in Beijing and then Hong Kong, working for international media, financial services and communications consulting firms.
L.A.-based Fang oversees Endeavor’s global corporate events team, inclusive of tentpole industry events, client hospitality, corporate retreats, and sports and entertainment conferences. Under Fang’s leadership over the last five years, Endeavor’s corporate events team has tripled its portfolio, activating more than 200 events globally, according to the company. Fang and her team are responsible for Endeavor’s presence at everything from the Oscars to the Super Bowl to Wimbledon. In her newly expanded role, Fang now oversees Endeavor’s corporate creative and social media teams. She joined WME in 2011.
Sheehy, also based in Los Angeles, has served as WME’s chief spokesperson since 2017, overseeing internal and external communications for the agency. Sheehy worked on the communications strategy for several pivotal moments in the company’s history, including the merger of the William Morris Agency and Endeavor; WME’s acquisition of IMG; Endeavor’s acquisition of UFC; and WME’s dispute and resolution with the WGA. Sheehy has also advised a wide range of the agency’s clients on proactive and crisis communications and helped launch Endeavor Content (now called Fifth Season). Sheehy joined the William Morris Agency in 2005.
