Global entertainment company Alkemy X has recruited Sarah Grieshammer to join their growing VFX team as VFX Supervisor.
Grieshammer’s career working with visual effects has landed her credits amongst top projects like “The Amazing Spider-Man,” The Hunger Games” and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” Her employment with Alkemy X continues to strengthen their expanding VFX team.

Grieshammer strong sense of detail, color, composition, animation and storytelling can be depicted through other television series she’s worked on, including “Stranger Things,” “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” Sleepy Hollow” and “Your Honor.”

VFX Company Pixomondo Launched A Virtual Production Academy with Seneca Film Institute
Oscar and Emmy Award winning VFX company, Pixomondo has launched a virtual production academy with with Seneca Film Institute. The new PXO program, titled Virtual Production: Virtual Art Department Content Creation, is set to be led by Mahmoud Rahnama, PXO’s chief innovation officer.
Beginning in September, the 12-week online program will be taught by industry professionals using PXO’s proprietary techniques. Developed by PXO’s virtual production experts, the program will provide participants the opportunity to incorporate the latest techniques used on set and LED stages.
“Together, we will deliver the most cutting-edge training in virtual production, teaching students the skills that will set them up for successful careers in this exciting field,” said Mark Jones, director, Seneca Film Institute.
Those who graduate from the program will receive direct access to PXO employment opportunities and a micro-credential completion badge from the Seneca Film Institute.
Next ‘Godzilla x Kong’ Movie Gets Title
The title of the sequel to the 2021 monster battle, “Godzilla Vs. Kong,” was released Wednesday, and it’s “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.” The film’s producer Legendary tweeted “The #Monsterverse continues” with a brief teaser showing the fearsome reptile facing off against the massive primate.
Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry, who appeared in “Godzilla vs. Kong,” return for the sequel, with Dan Stevens joining the cast. Adam Wingard returns to direct. “Godzilla vs. Kong” grossed $470 million worldwide, a healthy sum when many moviegoers were still hesitant to return to theaters in the midst of the pandemic. It was released simultaneously on HBO Max, causing controversy when Legendary was not on board with the early streaming release.
It’s the fifth entry in Legendary’s MonsterVerse, which kicked off with the rebooted “Godzilla” in 2014, then the new “Kong: Skull Island” in 2017, then introduced some of Godzilla’s most fearsome enemies, like Mothra, King Ghidora and Rodan, in “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” in 2019 and finally brought the two titans of cinema together in “Godzilla vs. Kong.” There’s also a “Skull Island” anime series coming to Netflix and a live-action “Godzilla and the Titans” series coming to Apple TV+ with Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell and Kiersey Clemons among the cast.
