Emily Ratajkowski in Talks to Join Lena Dunham Netflix Series ‘Too Much’

Emily Ratajkowski is in final talks to join the cast of Lena Dunham‘s upcoming Netflix comedy series “Too Much,” PvNew has learned exclusively from sources.

She joins previously announced series leads Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe. PvNew exclusively reported the series was in the works back in December.

Netflix declined to comment.

“Too Much” follows Jessica (Stalter), described as “a New York workaholic in her mid-30s who is reeling from a broken relationship that she thought would last forever and slowly isolating everyone she knows. When every block in New York tells a story of her own bad behavior, the only solution is to take a job in London, where she plans to live a life of solitude like a Brontë sister. But when she meets Felix (Sharpe) — who is less Hugh Grant in ‘Notting Hill’ and more Hugh Grant’s drunken roommate — she finds that their unusual connection is impossible to ignore, even as it creates more problems than it solves. Now they have to ask themselves: Do Americans and Brits actually speak the same language?”

According to sources, Ratajkowski will play Felix’s ex-girlfriend Polly, who is described as the exact opposite of Jessica.

Ratajkoswki is best known for her modeling career, having been one of the most well-known models the world over for the past decade. She is also an actress, with her onscreen appearances including the hit film “Gone Girl” and “We Are Your Friends” with Zac Efron as well as features such as “I Feel Pretty” with Amy Schumer and shows like “History of the World, Part II” and “The Spoils Before Dying.” Ratajkowski is also a published author, with her New York Times best selling book of essays “My Body” debuting in 2021.

Rataajkowski is repped by Ocean Avenue Entertainment and R&CPMK.

Dunham will write and direct “Too Much,” which features original music from her husband, Luis Felber. Dunham and Felber executive produce alongside Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Michael P. Cohen, Surian Fletcher-Jones and Bruce Eric Kaplan, with Camilla Bray as producer. The 10-episode series hails from Universal International Studios’ Working Title Television as well as Dunham’s Good Thing Going banner.
