“Bar Rescue” has been renewed for its ninth season at Paramount Network, which is set to premiere on Feb. 25 at 10 p.m.
Per the official logline, the series follows host Jon Taffer as he “travels the country saving some of the worst bars in America from failure and ruin. Along with his team of expert chefs and mixologists, Jon transforms the owners, staff and the bars themselves, turning run down relics into top-notch establishments.”
As revealed in the Season 9 trailer, bar and restaurant experts featured in Season 9 include actor Danny Trejo — who is also known for Trejo’s Tacos, Trejo’s Cantina and Trejo’s Coffee and Donuts — as well as Ashish Alfred of the Alfred Restaurant Group, Dustin Drai of Drai’s Las Vegas and Phil Wills of the Spirits in Motion. Throughout the season, the team will visit establishments in Arizona, California, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, Texas, Wisconsin and more.
“Bar Rescue” is known for not only its makeovers, but for Taffer’s conflicts with the owners featured on the show. “You know what’s scarier than Sundays? Me,” he says at the start of the trailer, which also includes shots of insects inside liquor bottles and employees in tears.
“Bar Rescue” is produced by 3 Ball Productions. Taffer executive produces along with Ross Weintraub and James Agiesta of 3 Ball. Benjamin Hurvitz and Nadim Amiry also serve as executive producers, and Ivanna Palance serves as executive in charge of production for Paramount Network.
Alfred is repped by Gersh.
