Rapper and entertainment mogul Snoop Dogg will perform at the Baby2Baby Gala on Nov. 11 in Los Angeles.
The glitzy annual gala supports the nonprofit organization, which provides supplies for children living in poverty.
In acknowledgement of Snoop Dogg’s performance, Baby2Baby will provide nearly 300,000 essential items, such as school supplies, hygiene products and sports equipment to children in two Snoop-backed organizations: the Snoop Youth Football and Basketball Leagues and Snoop Special Stars. These two organizations help inner-city children across Los Angeles participate in youth football, youth basketball and cheerleading.
Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Salma Hayek Pinault will be honored with the Giving Tree Award, which the organization says is given “to a public figure who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving the lives of children in need around the world.” Hayek’s foundationsupportsorganizations that assist battered women and underprivileged children in Mexico.
With help from the money raised during the annual gala, Baby2Baby has distributed more than 350 million essential items to children across homeless shelters, foster care agencies and other underserved areas. This year’s event is sponsored by Paul Mitchell, City National Bank and Volvo USA.
Recent endeavors from Baby2Baby include building a diaper manufacturing system and sending cargo planes of emergency supplies to families affected by the Maui wildfires.
