This includes the new Star+ Original “Ringo: Glory & Death,” available globally through Hulu in the U.S., Star + in Latin America, and Disney + in Europe and the rest of the world.
Well reviewed in its native Argentina, the series tracks the fabled life of Argentine boxer Oscar “Ringo” Bonavena who brought a marauding, tough as a ship’s deck style to the ring. In a career spanning 68 bouts he gave greats of his era – think Frazier, Patterson and Muhammad Ali – puzzling and tough nights. It was a life that ended in his tragic murder aged 33. The series was considered a standout at 2022’s Iberseries & Platino Industria.
Playing the title role is Jerónimo Bosia, recently seen in J.A. Bayona’s big hit “Society of the Snow.”
EO Media is also involved in the upcoming WBD/TNT & Flow’s Original “Cris Miro (Ella).” Set to launch in 2024, it stars Mina Serrano.
The slate will introduced to buyers at next week’s Content Americas market and forum in Miami.
