Amazon Announces ‘With Love’ Premiere Date (TV News Roundup)

Amazon Prime Video announced “With Love” will premiere on Dec. 17.

The limited series stars Emeraude Toubia, Mark Indelicato, Rome Flynn, Desmond Chiam, Vincent Rodriquez III, Isis King, Todd Grinnell, Constance Marie and Benito Martinez.

“With Love” follows the Diaz siblings, Lily (Toubia) and Jorge (Indelicato), who are on a mission to find love and purpose. The Diaz siblings cross paths with seemingly unrelated residents during some of the most heightened days of the year — the holidays. Each of the five episodes is set during a different holiday.

All episodes will be written and executive produced by Gloria Calderón Kellet. The pilot will be directed and executive produced by Meera Menon. With Love is produced by Calderón Kellett’s production company, Glonation and Amazon Studios.

YouTube Originals announced “Get Curious With Kamala Harris” will premiere on Oct. 7 on the NASA YouTube channel and the YouTube Kids app. The series follows a group of kids as they meet Vice President Kamala Harris, go on a scavenger hunt with clues delivered by NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough and get exclusive access to the U.S.A. Naval Observatory. The series is produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment. Susanne Daniels is global head of original content for YouTube. Nadine Zylstra serves as head of family, learning and impact for YouTube Originals. Lauren Vrazilek and Laurel Stier oversee the special.

FIRST LOOKS

Paramount Plus released a teaser for “The Game,” which premieres on Nov. 11. The 10-episode follow-up season to the 2006 series of the same title stars Wendy Raquel Robinson, Hosea Chanchez, Adriyan Rae, Vaughn Hebron, Analisa Velez and Toby Sandeman. It will offer a modern-day examination of Black culture through the lens of pro football — tackling racism, sexism, classism and more. The series is executive produced by original show creator Mara Brock Akil, along with Devon Greggory, Salim Akil, Kelsey Grammer and Tom Russo. Kevin Bray serves as director. “The Game” is produced by CBS Studios, Akil Productions and Grammnet NH Productions. Watch the teaser below.

Paramount Plus released a trailer for its new documentary film “Madame X,” streaming Oct. 8. Filmed in Lisbon, Portugal, the film captures the tour performance of Madonna’s secret agent persona, Madame X, capturing new music alongside previous hits and fan favorites. The featured album aims to be a love letter to multiculturalism as well as a testament to Madonna’s own influence on and respect for global culture. The trailer boasts dramatic clips of the tour, from dance numbers to spotlight solos, featuring Madame X wearing her signature eye patch. The film exclusively debuts in the United States, Latin America, Australia, the Nordics and Canada, while audiences outside of these markets can watch the documentary on MTV. Blue Ant Studios announced Casey Kelly as been promoted to vice president of unscripted development. Kelly will be based in L.A. and oversee all aspects of Blue Ant’s unscripted development pipeline and produce current series through production and network delivery. Kelly will report to Jennifer Harkness, senior vice president of unscripted content production, and also work with chief creative officer and co-president, content production Laura Michalchyshyn and co-president content production Sam Sniderman.

RATINGS

The Sept. 30 episode of Nickelodeon’s “The Girl Lay Lay” delivered double-digit growth over its debut, up 17% with its core demographic, kids ages six through 11, in live and same day. The episode ranked as the most co-viewed program of the day across all TV among families, with 39% of adults ages 18 through 49 and kids ages six through 11, outperforming the genre average of live and same day growth by 14 percent. Additionally, a new episode of “Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan” posted double-digit live increases with kids ages six through 11, up 60% outperforming the genre average by 31%.
