“Squid Game: The Challenge” was the number one English language TV show on Netflix for the second straight week.
For the week of Nov. 27-Dec. 3, the reality competition show racked up 11.4 million views. That is on top of the 20.5 million views the show drew in its debut week. Elsewhere on the Top 10 chart, the new series “Obliterated” from the team behind “Cobra Kai” debuted at number three on the English TV chart with 7 million views. “The Crown” Season 6, Part One slipped to number four this week, down from number two last week. The latter six episodes are expected to arrive on Dec. 14.
Other shows in the Top 10 this week include “Bad Surgeon: Love Under the Knife” with 7.4 million views, “Young Sheldon: Season 1” at 2.7 million views, and “Young Sheldon: Season 2” with 1.7 million views.
On the film side, the animated Adam Sandler film “Leo” also remained at number one, adding 23.6 million views to its initial 34.6 million. Sandler stars in the coming-of-age musical comedy as a lizard named Leo about the last year of elementary school as seen through the eyes of a class pet.
The feature comedy “Family Switch” starring Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms debuted at number two with 22.2 million views. Other entries in the week’s Top 10 English language films include “Catering Christmas” with 4.6 million views, “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” with 4 million views, “The Silencing” with 3.7 million, and “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” with 3.1 million.
