In support of the SAG and WGA members, and those affected by the strikes, entertainment industry social networking and education platform Stage 32 is giving away $100,000 in free education so they can hone their skills and be in the best position when the work stoppages lift.
Stage 32, which recently reached 1 million members, is offering free codes to the platforms webinars and workshops, which typically cost $49 each. New and existing members of Stage 32 can sign up by going to http://www.stage32/webinars and using offer code NFCFPUR, which is good for one free webinar per person until the $100,000 limit is reached.
Stage 32 workshops are led by influential voices in across entertainment industry, including Academy Award winner Nick Vallelonga (“Green Book”), Academy Award nominated composer Terence Blanchard (“BlackKklansman,” “Harriet”), renowned documentarian Tiller Russel (“Night Stalker,” “Waco: American Apocalypse,” “Silk Road”), filmmaker Martin Guigui (“Sweetwater”), director Tyler Gillett (“Scream IV”), and Emmy nominees like producer Sivert Glarum (“Uncle Joey,” “King of the Hill”), showrunner Todd Slavkin (“Smallville,” “The Mysterious Benedict Society”), writer/producer Leila Cohan (“Bridgerton”) and writer/producer Vijal Patel (“Black-ish”).
“While we remain hopeful that the strikes reach a meaningful conclusion soon, we recognize that the masses impacted by the work stoppages, both above and below the line, are finding it difficult to stay motivated during this time,” said Stage 32 founder and CEO Richard “RB” Botto. “By pledging another $100,000 in free education to the film and television creative community, our goal is to inspire those affected by the strikes to further their skills or learn a new one entirely. So while productions are on hold right now, our members’ creative and professional journeys can and will carry on.”
Since the strikes began, Stage 32 has presented and given away over $100,000 in free education and Writers’ Room memberships. The platform boasts 3,000 hours of educational content supporting entertainment industry professionals above and below the line.
Stage 32 also has dozens of educational partnerships with film commissions, festivals and production companies globally to develop a pipeline of internationally based talent across the production career spectrum including Netflix, Canon, American Film Market and Cannes Film Festival Marche du Film.
