Amazon’s Audible announced that three veteran content execs — Diana Dapito, Kate Navin and Rhonda Adams Medina — have been promoted to new roles at the audiobook and podcast company.

Dapito has been promoted to head of regional content, North America (previously senior VP, consumer content). Navin has been promoted head of creative development, North America (previously head of theater), and Medina has been elevated to head of business affairs (formerly head of content legal affairs).

Audible’s content global operations are led by chief content officer Rachel Ghiazza, who oversees content strategy, programming and greenlight decisions. “Diana, Kate and Rhonda are powerhouse leaders who have been pivotal to Audible’s continued global leadership in audio storytelling,” Ghiazza said in a statement. “Their expertise, deep industry contacts and wealth of institutional knowledge and experience will accelerate Audible’s distinctive reputation for innovative content.”

Dapito, as head of regional content for North America, oversees content programming, editorial and catalog curation, and Audible Studios, including creative development, casting and production of Audible originals. Dapito began her career at Audible nearly two decades ago, joining the company from journalism school. She will continue to report to Ghiazza.

Navin assumes responsibility for creative development for North America, shaping the vision and voice of Audible originals and developing and implementing innovative audio-first strategies with a range of talent and collaborators. She has worked at Audible for more than six years, leading the launch of Audible’s theater initiative and developing and producing more than 114 Audible Theater titles with stars including Billy Crudup, Colman Domingo, Carey Mulligan, Daniel Dae Kim, Jane Krakowski and Tituss Burgess. Navin also has produced more than a dozen other Audible originals globally, including “The Big Lie” with Jon Hamm, “The Miranda Obsession” with Rachel Brosnahan and “The Prophecy” with Kerry Washington. Navin will report to Dapito.

Medina, as head of business affairs, will have oversight of the Audible originals deals team. She will provide strategic counsel in structuring and navigating deals to acquire, develop and produce original content. Medina joins Audible’s content organization following a year as the company’s head of content legal affairs. Prior to joining Audible, Medina was director, business and legal affairs at Netflix, co-leading the animated series team. She spent more than 15 years at Nickelodeon where she rose to senior VP/deputy general counsel, business and legal affairs, and she led business and legal affairs at Universal Kids, NBCUniversal’s inaugural kids and family channel. She reports to Pat Shah, global head of content acquisition, strategy and partnerships.
