James Corden Returns to Talk — Via New Weekly SiriusXM Interview Show

Six months after ending his run as host of CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” the host is getting back into the interviewing game. SiriusXM is set to announce Monday that Corden will be the host of a new weekly series, “This Life of Mine with James Corden,” marking the multi-talented star’s first foray into the audio world.

“This Life of Mine” is expected to launch in early 2024. According to SiriusXM, the show “will feature in-depth conversations with the world’s biggest stars, discussing the people, places, moments, and memories that made them who they are today. From favorite music and movies to books and advice, the show will seek to tell the untold stories of some of the most well-known public figures.”

The new Corden series will be available to SiriusXM subscribers on the satellite radio broadcaster’s app, as well as in-car. SiriusXM is expected to share more details about the new show on Wednesday during its “SiriusXM: Next Generation Industry & Press Preview” event, where it plans to unveil its new streaming app, a brand refresh and other new programming announcements.

“James Corden is an incredible talent who is always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible,” said SiriusXM president/chief content officer Scott Greenstein, in a statement. “With a career that spans acting on stage and screen, developing and launching hit series such as Carpool Karaoke, and of course his iconic eight-year run as a late night host, James has been a trailblazer in the entertainment business. We’re so honored to welcome him to the SiriusXM family as he begins this next phase of his illustrious career and makes his mark in audio.”

This reps the first major announcement from Corden after he wrapped eight seasons of “The Late Late Show” with a finale episode that included memorable moments with Tom Cruise and Adele. With the show ending, Corden also moved his family back to his native U.K.

Corden continues to serve as an exec producer on Apple TV+’s “Carpool Karaoke,” the series based on his popular late night segment. His other recent credits include the series “Mammals,” as well as the films “Cinderella” and “The Prom.” CAA brokered the deal between Corden and SiriusXM.

“Scott and the whole team have made me feel so welcome as I start this new chapter,” Corden said in a statement. “It’s a dream to have a space to engage in deep conversations with the people whose work and talent I greatly admire.”
