Netflix Top 10: ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ Debuts at No. 2 With 6 Million Views as ‘Beckham’ Continues No. 1 Streak

“The Fall of the House of Usher” opened in second place the Netflix Top 10 English-Language TV chart during the Oct. 9-15 viewing window as it conjured up 6.3 million total views in its first four days of availability. Hailing from “The Haunting of Hill House” creator Mike Flanagan and based on the writings of Edgar Allen Poe, the chilling limited series was undoubtedly pushed by the spooky season as viewers watched the Usher family dynasty rise and crumble.

David and Victoria Beckham’s Netflix docuseries continued to remain in the No. 1 spot this week, pulling 11.6 million views in its first full week of availability. From director Fisher Stevens and producer John Battsek, the documentary offered an intimate look at the soccer phenom, telling his fans who he truly is behind closed doors. In the previous week, the documentary opened to 12.4 million total views.

“Sex Education” Season 4 moved to third place with 4 million total views – that’s a slight drop from the previous week’s 6.6 million views recorded during its second full week of availability. Earlier this month, the final chapter debuted to 12 million total views during the Sept. 18-24 viewing window, subsequently ending the No. 1 streak of One Piece” on Netflix Top 10’s English-language TV chart. “One Piece” currently ranks sixth on the chart with 1.9 million total views.

“Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul” cracked this week’s chart at No. 4 with 3.1 million total views in its first five days of streaming. Also making its first appearance on the Netflix Top 10 list is “Everything Now,” which landed in ninth place with 1.3 million total views – an almost tie with Season 11 of “The Great British Baking Show.” The reality cooking competition ranked 10th with a shorter runtime of 3.21 hours and 4.3 million hours viewed. “Everything Now” recorded 8.3 million hours viewed and has a runtime of 6.13 hours. (Netflix calculates total views by dividing hours viewed by the total runtime hours).

Season 5 of “Love is Blind” ranked fifth this week with 2.6 million views following the release of the final episodes on Friday and the Reunion special, which was added on Oct. 15. It’s a slight drop from the previous week’s 3.7 million total views, but the title is likely to stay in the top 10 as Netflix continues to tally viewership figures from the reunion, which was only available for one day during this window.

It’s also worth noting that “Virgin River” has moved down to No. 8 on the chart with 1.4 million views in its sixth week among the list of popular titles.

Elsewhere, “Cocomelon” Season 8 ranked seventh on the chart with 1.4 million views.
