After going virtual for 2020, the iHeartRadio Music Festival will be back live and in Las Vegas this year, iHeartMedia announced Wednesday, with Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Lil Baby among the performers set to take the stage at T-Mobile Arena over two nights on the tail end of summer, Sept. 17-18.
Also on the main stage over the two nights will be Khalid, Coldplay, Florida Georgia Line, Weezer, Sam Hunt, Maroon 5, Cheap Trick, Journey and more to be announced later.
The daytime stage — where Lipa played in 2018 (pictured above) — is a setting for artists a bit more on the up-and-coming side, although one of those, Rodrigo, is as big right now as anyone on the nighttime stage with more miles under the belt. Joining Rodrigo in the sun at Area15, “a new immersive event and entertainment district” in Las Vegas, are DaBaby, Saweetie, Yungblud, Gabby Barrett, the Kid Laroi, 24kGoldn, All Time Low, Russell Dickerson, Tate McRae, Addison Rae and Conan Gray.
Rodrigo’s performance may be of special interest since all of her live performances to date have consisted of just a song or two, as the TV star has transitioned into having a blockbuster music career.
Highlights will be broadcast in two specials on the CW Network Oct. 2-3, with Ryan Seacrest hosting. For anyone wanting to listen or watch in real time, the the CW app and CWTV will livestream the nighttime performances, and iHeartMedia stations in more than 150 markets will broadcast the two nights of performances live on radio.
