James Corden, Ariana Grande and Broadway musical “Hairspray” star Marissa Jaret Winokur convened for a joyous celebration of the end of COVID-19 restrictions on “The Late Late Show” on Tuesday night.
They sang “No Lockdowns Anymore” set to the tune of hit “Hairspray” number “Good Morning Baltimore.”
The video begins with a jubilant Corden appearing on a New York street in his bathrobe. “Woke up today, feeling okay, this is new,” Corden croons. “Got the vaccine and it’s been two weeks. There’s life in the streets! Hot people at brunch, and I’ve got a hunch, mimosas are gonna be bottomless.”
The show host proceeds to turn off Zoom and shave his matted, massive beard.
The video continues in celebratory mode and includes a shout out to immunologist Anthony Fauci.
Meanwhile, Grande gets a haircut (“Look at my hair, I’m no longer scared to have it cut”) and goes to the gym. “Say hi on the street, a kiss on the cheek, it’s been so long since I put on my shoes,” Grande sings.
Marissa Jaret Winokur makes an appearance and does a little jig with Grande. “So let’s hit the club or get drunk and get matching tattoos,” they sing.
