Diplo Is Now in the Crocs Business

It’s a Crocs world and we’re all just living in it. Following successful collaborations with musicians such as Post Malone and Justin Bieber, the iconic footwear company has now teamed up with Diplo for a psychedelic-themed collection, out June 8.

The Grammy-winning DJ brings an extra edge to the brand’s classic clog and new classic clog sandals with two colorful iterations and eight glow-in-the-dark jibbitz, or Crocs’ charms. The classic clog comes with a red, yellow and blue 3D mushroom charm that matches the yellow, pink and green swirls painted over a blue base. The new classic crocs sandal, which had yet to undergo a collaboration makeover until now, is decorated with blue and orange paint swirls over a yellow base, in addition to a glow-in-the-dark jibbitz shaped like a mushroom.

“I wear my Crocs literally everywhere so I’m stoked to have some with my name on them and that others can get them, too,” Diplo said in a statement. “Crocs helped me bring my adventures to life with these designs and the three-dimensional, light-up and glow-in-the-dark mushroom Jibbitz charms are cooler than I could’ve imagined. Now fans can take a walk with me in either the classic clog or crocs classic sandal.”

The two new clogs styles weren’t released until today but Diplo promoted the collaboration last Thurs. during a live Twitch stream with Mad Decent, in which he gave away 1,000 pairs to listeners. Like most celebrity Croc collaborations, the collection is expected to sell out fast, which is why the buying process is bit different than usual. When you access the site, you’ll be assigned a random spot in line, and when it’s your turn you’ll be given 10 minutes to make your purchase.

Crocs has found great success in the past teaming up with high-profile musicians and fashion brands for hyped-up limited-edition collections. The footwear brand has partnered with notable Crocs lover Post Malone for five collections since 2018, and has partnered with Justin Bieber and his fashion label Drew House two times in the past year. Crocs also released special edition glow-in-the dark clogs last September with Bad Bunny. But the most elusive Croc is the pink, Chanel-studded number from Nicki Minaj.

You can buy Diplo’s Classic Clog for $69.99 and the Crocs Classic Sandal for $49.99 exclusively on the Crocs website. And if they run out, there’s always the tie-dye line.
