Jeremih has been cast in the upcoming Starz series “Power Book IV: Force.”
As previously announced, the series centers on fan-favorite character Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) after he cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good.
Jeremih will play Elijah, a high-ranking member of CBI who knows how the drug game is played and isn’t afraid to bend the rules. As Jenard Sampson’s (Kris D. Lofton) closest ally, there’s nothing he won’t do to prove his loyalty to both the Sampson brothers.
Jeremih is a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, rapper, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. His 2009 hit debut single “Birthday Sex” hit number four on US Billboard Hot 100, and his debut self-titled album reached number six on the US Billboard 200. He’s had 21 Billboard Hot 100 hits to date and four Billboard Top 10 hits. His song “Down On Me” was at number one on the Billboard Rhythmic chart for eight weeks straight, and his feature on Wale’s song “On Chill” reached number one on Rhythmic and Urban radio chart.
Along with Sikora, Lofton and Jeremih, “Power Book IV” will also star Isaac Keys, Lili Simmons, Gabrielle Ryan, Shane Harper, Anthony Fleming III, Lucien Cambric, and Tommy Flanagan.
Robert Munic created the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer. “Power” creator and showrunner Courtney A. Kemp executive produces via End of Episode under her overall deal with Lionsgate Television. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson also executive produces via G-Unit Film and Television along with Mark Canton of Atmosphere Entertainment MM, Chris Selak of End of Episode, Shana Stein and Bart Wenrich.
