New Movies Out Now in Theaters: What to See This Week

It’s not always easy to find out which movies are hitting theaters each week, especially after the Hollywood strikes led to many release date changes. With the WGA and actors strikes resolved and awards season heating up, there are more dramas and prestige productions in theaters this month. February brings a range of films spanning genres.

The Diablo Cody-scripted romcom “Lisa Frankenstein,” starring Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton, hits theaters this week. If you’ve been waiting for a family-friendly film to see on the big screen, check out Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red,” which missed out on an initial theatrical release and debuted directly on Disney+ amid the ease of COVID lockdowns. Also catch a limited release of the French romantic drama “The Taste of Things,” starring Juliette Binoche.

Check back each week to find the latest releases in theaters, from big-budget wide releases to niche independent titles.
