Carolina Cavalli was born in Milan, Italy. Her debut feature film, Amanda, premiered at the 79th Venice Film Festival in Semptember 2022 and internationally at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). She is the winner of the 2018 Premio Solinas Grant for TV Series. In 2018 she was the recipient of the SFFILM/ Rainin Filmmaking Development Grant for the feature film 'Fremont' (directed by Babak Jalali) which premiered in Sundance 2023.
