Katie was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Noting that she will perform for anybody who will watch, Katie's parents enrolled her in "Twinkle Toes" ballet at the age of 4, and by 6 her sassy personality found her dancing on a competitive team and from there the step to being in front of the camera was just a few years to follow.Actress and dancer Katie Ortencio is best known for her leading role as Lily in the hit (CBC / CBBC) Television series The Next Step for seasons 6-8.Katie has found her passion for acting and has been absolutely thrilled to work in the film industry for the past few years, continually training with various studios and working with a variety of coaches.
