Born in 1962, Chicago, IL to Norman and Millicent Dachman. Norman was an aspiring actor and teacher. Millicent was a pianist and teacher. Adam began piano lessons at age 5 through the Chicago Conservatory of Music. Following through with his talent for improvisation and composition he studied with the Jazz pianist/professor Alan Swain in Evanston, IL. During his teen years, Adam showed a talent for both performance at the piano and composition. In 1980 he entered college and studied under Karen Edwards, the classical pianist. Finishing his undergraduate work in Wisconsin at Carroll College, Adam began a career as a composer in Chicago."Adameus" your personal composer--was a trade name he used in Chicago garnering attention from The Variety Club, The National Basketball Association, Oprah Winfrey and the National Football League. Adam performed at many celebrity lunches and dinners in the city. During this time he developed his signature nostalgic piano stylings that caught the ears of fans and critics alike.Well into his composing venture, Adam followed a childhood dream of becoming a surgeon. He entered medical school at the age of 23 and began a career as a general surgeon. Completing his medical school and residency training by 1995, Adam started a private surgical practice outside of Madison, WI. It was during this time he rose to the burning passion he had for film score composition. Enrolling at the Berklee College of Music, Adam began formal finishing school for his musical skills. Completing orchestration, composition, harmony, manuscripting, arranging and publishing.By 1999 he had built a studio and had completed 2 solo CDs which became quite popular in the solo piano realm. By 2003 he had a fully equipped studio for production of film scores. Scoring documentaries and entering into publishing agreements with One Music, Crucial Music, Editor's Choice and multiple corporate entities utilizing his music for their promotions, productions and special events. Commissioned by GSW Worldwide in 2004, Adam composed a theme for Genentech. "Keys of Hope" was produced within an album titled "Music for Life" which was published by GSW Worldwide and distributed internationally to lymphoma patients receiving Genentech medication.By 2005 Adam's work had appeared in multiple major television shows including CSI Las Vegas, Access Hollywood, The NBA on ABC, Good Morning America, Today and multiple cable television programs. During this phase Adam continued to build his studio into a formidable production suite utilizing the best sound samples and recording programs available. Sticking to a high standard and dedicated work ethic, Adam continued to pursue his dream to score Hollywood films.In 2008, Player Piano Mouse Productions published Adam's first book, The Player Piano Mouse. The story features "Melody" a mouse that chews holes in player piano paper rolls to composer music. The story has gained attention of multiple producers and is currently in consideration for major film production.A total re-tooling of studio infrastructure took place in 2015. Studio 10 is now Adam's domain for creating lush content for film and television. Ongoing placements in network and cable programming serves to catalyze Adam's continued pursuit of new material. Beginning in 2017, Adam was brought into a new production called "Staydream". Staydream is an original comedy that is being produced out of Madison, WI by Chicago 139 Productions.
