Gilberto Giles-Sosa, a native of Houston, Texas, found solace and self-expression in the arts while growing up in an unstable environment. At 12, Gilberto's life transformed when his mom took him to an open call they heard on the radio in Houston. This opportunity led them to Los Angeles, where he pursued his childhood dream of becoming an actor. However, he eventually returned to Houston from this journey, and Gilberto's passion shifted toward the behind-the-scenes aspects of the industry. So, he delved into cinematography, editing, and directing, embracing a multifaceted artistic pursuit, eventually landing him an opportunity to join a competitive Texas filmmaking program that granted him admission to one of Houston's most prestigious private high schools.In 2016, Gilberto's talent and dedication to filmmaking were recognized when his musical short film became an Official Selection for the Texas High Schools Shorts Competition at SXSW.Following his high school graduation...
