Samantha Alleyne is best known for being the first female Stormtrooper in Star Wars. She appeared in all 5 of the Disney era Star Wars movies and has played over 15 different characters including 'Allie Samta', an X-Wing pilot, in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019). She also appeared as an Imperial Stormtrooper in several episodes of the highly acclaimed Disney+ series 'Andor'.Samantha also appeared as an Amazon in Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) and was a second unit Stand-In for Gal Gadot during production.Samantha is of Barbadian/Greek heritage. She was born in Canning Town, London. Her family moved to Plaistow, London when she was 8.After studying for a BTEC in Performing Arts at Barking College, Samantha enjoyed a successful career as a Graphic Designer in London before realising how much she missed performing.In the year 2000 Samantha moved to Hitchin in North Hertfordshire to study acting. It was there she gained a 2:1 in Theatre with Performing Arts from Middlesex University.Upon completing her degree Samantha worked as a fashion model having previously modelled as a child.Working as a model and supporting artiste on various projects rekindled her love for acting and she began to pursue a fully fledged acting career.Samantha has one sibling, a younger sister.
