Niels Thomas Hanrath was born in the U.K to Dutch parents. He was always passionate about creating and began acting when he finished university in London. He quickly was cast in his first feature film and from there, progressed to four features and numerous short films.When the pandemic hit, Niels found himself with enough time to full develop an idea for a short film "Voices" that he had been working on and push it through production. Voices has won awards in London and two festivals in Los Angeles so far in the categories of "Best Mystery Short", "Best Musical Score", "Best Visual Effects" along with nominations for "Best Original Screenplay", "Best Producer" and "Best Short Made for Under $5,000". Niels continues to work as an actor and producer on two more shorts and a feature film.
