Tai began her television and movie career through the independent film circuit in Los Angeles, starring in Semblance (2017) and My Name Here (2018), along with TV roles on BET, Good Trouble (2019) and The Neighborhood (2018). She has also been featured on The CW critically acclaimed TV series Jane the Virgin (2014).
