Chris Routhe is an American film and television actor and executive producer. He appeared on NBC's Chicago Fire and FOX's Empire after making his network television debut on the second season premiere of NBC's Chicago P.D. During the 2015 pilot season he was cast as love interest to Monet Mazur in "Love Is a Four Letter Word", the 20th Century Fox produced drama pilot for NBC. He stars in the Western/Adventure feature film "No Man's Land" which was filmed in several remote locations in Texas and available through worldwide distribution platforms.Chris was seen in a major supporting role alongside Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy, 3 Men and a Baby) and Harry Lennix (Man of Steel, The Blacklist) in the sci-fi feature "Alternate Universe: A Rescue Mission," produced by Fresh Films. The film premiered at a special White House event before making a fifty-stop school tour. Chris starred in the original superhero series "Superhuman" (official selection of the Twin Cities Film Fest) and has appeared in several other films, including the New York City feature-length drama "Finding Her" (nominated for Best Narrative Feature at the Vail Film Festival). He has been a principal performer in numerous commercials and industrial films, and starred in a satirical web video for The Onion. Chris also appeared in a national spot for Serta as the "All-American" husband and father.Chris studied under the tutelage of Dexter Bullard, Head of Graduate Acting at The Theatre School at DePaul University. He took acting and improv classes at The Second City, and also studied acting and improv at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. He has trained extensively at the Acting Studio Chicago, Black Box Acting Studio, The Green Room Actor's Studio, Chicago's Vagabond School of the Arts, and received advanced scene study training at the Twin Cities Acting Studio and In The Moment Acting Studio. Chris has also worked privately with Chicago-based acting coaches Rusty Schwimmer, Kurt Naebig, Janelle Snow, and Stef Tovar. He is a Minnesota native who grew up a student of the arts, having received many years of private training in classical and jazz piano before becoming a professional actor.
