Mark Forbes

Mark Forbes is a London based, independent Scottish filmmaker from Aberdeenshire. Scotland. He is known for his award-winning documentaries and feature films. He wrote, directed, produced, edited, co-filmed and co-financed his own indie feature drama, Mother & Wild in 2023 which won numerous awards for Best Indie Feature. It went on to win Best Film Made in Hastings award at the Hastings Rocks International Film Festival. Mother & Wild was also a 2nd place runner up for Best feature at the Birmingham Film & Television Festival. It was also screened and won an award at the South Coast Film Festival Festival in Hastings in August 2023. Mark's films have been screened at 83 film festivals around the world and have won 18 awards.When starting out, Mark did not have the opportunity to go to University or film school in Aberdeenshire.
