Introduction
Joosje Duk was born on October 1, 1994, in The Hague, The Netherlands. When Joosje was fifteen, she was cast as lead character Mirjam in the children's television series Snuf the Dog (Snuf de Hond), directed by Steven de Jong. Snuf the Dog and the Spooky Castle won a Double Platina Award for topping more than 200,000 DVD sales in The Netherlands. In 2012, when Joosje was seventeen, she moved to New York to study Acting, Screenwriting & Journalism at New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. In 2015, Joosje portrayed the role of Johanna Bennemin in the feature film Public Works (Publieke Werken), directed by Joram L��rsen. She also co-wrote a one-woman show called Waiting for What?, which she performed at the Off-Broadway Festival United Solo in New York, the world's biggest solo festival. In the summer of 2015, Joosje wrote and directed her first short film Heavy Feathers, which she acted in as well.
