Paternal grandfather, James Dudley, Sr., served in the military for twelve years, including during World War II, as a chef. His maternal grandfather, Walter Lee Davis, served in the Pacific during World War II and on the USS South Dakota.Attended Jonesboro Elementary in Bessemer, Alabama before he moved to Atlanta where he finished grammar school at Cedar Grove Elementary School in East Atlanta.In 1993 during the eighth grade, he started his career as a drug dealer selling marijuana and crack cocaine.Graduated in 1998 from Ronald E. McNair High School in Atlanta, Georgia where he received a HOPE Scholarship to Georgia Perimeter College.Founded the record label 1017 Records.His wife Keyshia Ka'oir is the founder and owner of Ka'oir Cosmetics and Ka'oir Fitness.Has released 13 studio albums and over 71 mixtapes throughout his career.Father Ralph Everett Dudley is a former U.S serviceman and power plant worker and his mother Vicky Jean Davis is a social worker and teacher.His second son Ice Davis was born on December 23, 2020.
