He has got Best Director award for A Nice Cute Guy in the Konark film festival, was his for the taking, while his short film, Astitva on the sensitive issue of female foeticide was much appreciated at a Conference of Senior Doctors in Panchgani. The then Hon'ble Home Minister Mr. Shivraj Patil watched the movie and appreciated the film at a media conference. His short film "Be The Change" was awarded by PCGT (Public Concern of Government Trust. Mumbai, headed by Julio Ribeiro). Rajmohan Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi's grandson acted in the film. Other Feature Films - Two Hollywood films- A Pencil in Gods Hand (A film on Mother Teresa) and Taj are his stock in trade and will soon hit the floors. He has been active in the media production field for the past 17 years, Abhik has worked on all formats - Feature films, advertising films, short films, Telefilms, music albums, documentaries, etc. Abhik is a post-graduate from symbiosis college Pune, an intern from the Film and Television Institute of India.
