Was contracted to play Eric van der Woodsen in the CW original series Gossip Girl (2007), but when Warner Brothers found out he was only 15 years old at the time they refused to let him work and let his contract go.On only his third day of filming Hardflip (2012), during a take, an accident sent him to the hospital. The incident resulted in 14 stitches in and around his mouth, forcing the production company no choice but to recast his role. He was recast with actor Sean Michael Afable.Eric has done numerous on camera commercials and voice overs for such major companies as: Pizza Hut, Cheerios, Toyota, Starburst, Mountain Dew, JCPenny's, Radio Shack, Tyson Chicken, GameStop, Sports Authority, Mead School Supplies and most recently a voice in the new Fanta international animated ads.Younger brother is Matthew Gumley. |
