Marco Morante has made his mark in the fashion and music industries as the man behind Marco Marco. He and his design team work tirelessly to create phenomenal, admirable and glamorously outr�� costumes for celebrities and performers such as: Fergie, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Britney Spears, and Shakira... To name a few.The 31-year-old California native isn't a traditionally trained fashion designer; he earned his Scenic and Costume Design BFA in Theatrical Design from CalArts, then opened his flagship design studio in 2003, which is located in the heart of Hollywood. The big difference, he says, is that fashion designers are taught to impose a concept, while costume designers tend to amplify something that is already there. Morante's love for glamour, extreme fashion, and prominent talent has jetted him to the top of the list of designers in high demand for one-of-a-kind creations. His ingenious fashions can be seen worn by today's hottest pop stars and leading actresses on the red carpet, in music videos, commercials, and on world tours. According to Morante, some of his creations require materials that designers don't typically work with. Marco Marco's work can also be seen in commercials for Got Milk?, Vitamin Water, PlayStation, and INTEL.Marco Morante is an LA based, Emmy Award Winning Costume Designer. He earned a Double Bachelor's Degree in Theatrical Design with an emphasis on Costume and Scenic from the California Institute for the Arts. After graduating in 2002, Marco and his partner, Chris Psaila, opened their design studio in Hollywood, and began working around the world creating costumes for commercials, television, concerts and music videos. His fashion shows have logged millions of views online and have become the backbone to a 20 year career bringing inclusivity and engagement between major industries and the LGBTQIA+ community he proudly calls himself a part of. Marco has designed for HBO's Legendary (2019-2020), DWTS (2021-2022), American Idol (2004-2011), Ru Paul's Drag Race (2009-2016), Fergie's 'The Duchess World Tour' (2007), The Black Eyed Peas 'The End' World Tour (2009), Lil Wayne 'I am Music Tour' (2009), Leona Lewis 'The Labrynth Tour' (2010), Kesha 'Get Sleezy Tour' (2011), Selena Gomez 'Stars Dance Tour' (2013), Britney Spears 'Piece of Me' Vegas Residency (2015), Ringling Bros & Barnum and Bailey Circus (2016), as well as designing costumes for World Premieres at both the San Fransisco (2016) and Houston Ballet(2021). Marco has appeared on Next in Fashion (Netflix), I am Britney Jean (MTV), Nicki Minaj - My Time Now (MTV), RHOBH (Bravo) and We're Here (HBO) for which he recently won the Emmy for Best Costume Design in a Reality or Unscripted Television Show.
