Since 1989, Dirk has been the vocalist for the grindcore music group "Bad Acid Trip".In 2018, Dirk became the third person ever to wear the Gilman suit for a film starring Julie Adams when he took on the role for the short film, "Lucky Southern Star," co-directed by Adams's sons, Mitch and Steve Danton.In 2020, Dirk opened a horror bar/plant first restaurant in Sherman Oaks, Ca. called "Dirk's Terror Tavern".
