Originally from New York City, Nova began her artistic career by way of her living room as a child. Putting on humorous and dramatic skits that included dance, props, portrayal of multiple characters and layered stories; Nova knew performance art would ultimately be the path she'd go down. Modeling became the first official pathway to her journey into the arts. Soon after this experience, she began formal dance training with a focus on the forms: hip-hop, belly dance and Latin ballroom. While remaining passionate for the rhythmic craft; her desire to embody characters and tell stories never left her heart. It wouldn't be long before her dancing feet led her to acting classes. Studying at various schools including HB Studios, Nova worked on the method acting, Grotowski, Stanislavski, socio-drama and improv. She began performing in independent theater productions of iconic plays such as West Side Story where her dance skills and socio-drama training served as the impetus for character development.As her career moved into film and TV, Nova also continued her studies- this time in journalism and voice acting. An opportunity at the legendary sports network ESPN would lead Nova to become one the first females to anchor her own radio show on ESPN NY's Spanish station in dual languages. She would also be the first female color commentator for the NY Jets in Spanish and the first female to be given her own ESPN podcast series on ESPN NY radio. On the voiceover acting front, Nova has voiced commercials for household names in sports, fast food, products and animated characters, she has also voiced for a biographical audiobook.Nova continues development in all areas of the creative arts. "There is always room to learn more! Sometimes we, as actors must start from scratch you know?! Just stare at a blank canvas for a while before adding those crucial layers...,the good, bad and the ugly layers!! The ones that allow for an honest portrayal"
