Introduction
Lucas Velazquez was born in Medellin, Colombia. Since an early age Lucas started doing TV Commercials. When he was 13 years old, he took his first acting classes at the Charlotte Academy in Bogota. Later, Lucas moved for a year to Quebec, Canada, where he was part of his high school theater group. Back in Colombia, he was cast in the series "Padres e Hijos" (Parents and Children), which marked his TV debut. Since then he has participated in TV shows such as "Francisco el Matematico" (Francis the Mathematician), "La Viuda de la Mafia" (The Mob Widow), and "La Marca del Deseo" (The Markings of Desire), among others. In 2003 he received the 'TV y Novelas' award for 'Best New Actor' for his portrayal of Marcos Galindo in "Francisco el Matematico". That same year he starred in the musical "Bolero para Tres" (Bolero for Three). In 2005 the "MISI" musical theater company cast him as "Kenickie" in "Grease".
