S.G. Savage

Storytelling is in Ms. Savage's blood. Her Appalachian heritage stimulated this desire and she immersed it with her passion for improving the status of at-risk families, women and children during a 25-year career in social work, elementary through university educator, as a therapist, and founder of a nonprofit to empower women. She mentored High School students in television, and radio media initiatives in addition to serving on the advisory board which created the School for Creative and Performing Arts. Sherry is also an avid presenter and fundraiser. Realizing the power of the screen on influencing mass populations, over the last 7 years, Sherry expanded her education beyond Graduate School, investing her time and finances on courses in screenwriting, reading scripts, utilizing consultants, and contests.
