 Shea E. Butler is an award-winning director, producer & writer for her short films & web series. Her work has screened in over fifty-five film festivals including the Pan African Film Festival, Mumbai International Women's Film Festival, Worldfest Houston International Film Festival, Idyllwild Cinemafest, San Diego Black Film Festival, Hollyfest Monthly Screenings, the Los Angeles International Children's Film Festival, Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival & Portland Oregon Women's Film Festival. Her work encompasses drama, family, thriller/suspense & science fiction.Shea is an alumna of Ryan Murphy's Half Foundation Directing Fellowship & the Warner Bros. Television Director's Workshop. She has been a shadowing director on the TV series "Private Eyes," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "Scream Queens," & "NCIS." She has spoken on several filmmaking panels at film festivals & was interviewed for an upcoming documentary on women filmmakers. Shea is a published author & is writing the pilot script for her half-hour, psychological sci-fi television drama.She is a certified scuba diver and avid horsewoman and was on a team that won a U.S. National 5 Goal Arena Polo Championship. Born in Cairo, Egypt to American parents living abroad, Shea is a US citizen & Permanent Resident of Canada. She has a love for traveling & exploring the world. Her most awe-inspiring trip was a horseback riding safari through the Okavango Delta in Botswana.
