 Glenn Franklin Howerton is an American actor and filmmaker. He is best known for his roles as Dennis Reynolds in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, for which he is also a writer and executive producer, and Jack Griffin in A.P. Bio, as well as the lead role in the short-lived sitcom That '80s Show.

Glenn Franklin Howerton is an American actor and filmmaker. He is best known for his roles as Dennis Reynolds in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, for which he is also a writer and executive producer, and Jack Griffin in A.P. Bio, as well as the lead role in the short-lived sitcom That '80s Show.

Howerton was going to study Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University before deciding to attend Juilliard, where he graduated with a B.F.A. in the Actor Training Program. He is a fairly talented vocal mimic and acquits easily to impersonating various dialects, a skill he developed during his "military brat" childhood which require constant moving to different areas and countries.Glenn Howerton was born in Japan to American parents, Janice and Glenn, a decorated fighter pilot. He has a sister, Courtney. He was raised in several countries (including South Korea and England) as a military brat, eventually graduating from junior high and senior high schools in Montgomery, Alabama. His ancestry is English, Scottish, Irish, German, and, more distantly by his maternal grandfather, Ashkenazi Jewish.Corey Howard, his character from That '80s Show (2002), was the cousin of Eric Forman (Topher Grace), the central character of That '70s Show (1998).Howerton is the only writer/actor on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005) to not share a first name with his character as he didn't wish to be associated with such a dislikable character.Engaged to actress Jill Latiano as of February 2008, the couple wed in 2009.
