Award winning entrepreneur Nia Hill has inspired the world with her world class writing, directing, and composing talent. Through storytelling, the University of Oklahoma alumni financed and produced Tyler Perry's first musical tour, "I know I've Been Changed. Hill created a one-of-a-kind distribution model called, "The Momentum Experience." Her vision provided equity that enabled artists of color to maintain control of their content via distribution in the mediums of live theater, film, & television. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith partnered with Hill to expand The Momentum Experience. The partnership produced the romantic comedy "The Seat Filler." She then partnered with Marc Cuban's Magnolia Pictures for the ancillary rights. This feature length film was distributed theatrically through The Momentum Experience and had the highest box office average according to a report published by Variety Magazine.Throughout Nia Hill's illustrious career, she has launched several successful production companies such as Strange Fruit and the Solstice Group. Strange Fruit Media financed, developed, and produced a catalog of great content. The most notable being BET Networks acclaimed television competition series "Sunday Best." Hill received an NAACP Image Award and a GRAMMY Award for co-writing the hit song "Jesus," performed by Le'Andria Johnson. Shortly after winning her Grammy, Hill became Creative Director for the iconic -Chaka Khan. Later she partnered with DreamWorks Entertainment and Paramount Studios to produce and direct a post-Katrina series entitled, "One Night Only: The Series," which featured Jennifer Hudson.Hill's commitment to social justice and awareness is often the throughline of her work. The feature length documentary, "Colored My Mind," took the worldwide film circuit by storm winning the "Best Filmmaker" award at the prestigious Cannes' AMPAV Film Festival in 2012. The documentary highlights the journey of five African American women with their autistic children.Inspired by Hill's storytelling, the cast banded together with the National Black Caucus of State Legislators and National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators to reauthorize the Combating Autism Act of 2006. As a result of those joint lobbying efforts, the U.S. federal government committed to providing more than $3 billion for autism research and other services.Most recently, Hill completed the Libretto for her next critically acclaimed project entitled, "Nina Simone Presents: Ce'st Tout Absurde, A Coloured Ballet," an opera that Hill was personally sought after by the daughter of Ms. Nina Simone herself. The Opera is currently slated to open in Paris in Spring 2024. In addition to her Nina Simone project, Hill under her Bridge X Media banner has partnered with the estate of one of litteraries most prolific authors, Octavia Butler along with academy award winning Producer, John Sloss. Nia Hill will lead production and a creative delegation on building a transmedia studio called, "The Octaverse." Nia Hill's business acumen, sense of social responsibility, coupled with her transcendent talent not only makes her a force to be reckoned with but cements her staying power in media and entertainment.
