As a child, Michael was a talented martial artist in real life, training in karate and the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do. He achieved his black belt by the time he was twelve. He still continues to train as an adult.His elder sister Erin and his elder brother Adam were both extras in 3 Ninjas: Knuckle Up (1995). They both featured in the pizza parlor scene.Studied computer science at university and now resides in Woodland Hills, California.
