Rector ,University Professor Doctor at the National University of Theater and Cinematographic Art "I.L.Caragiale".In 2016, he was awarded the Bayard Award for Best Actor at the International Francophone Film Festival in Namur, Belgium and the Chicago National Film Festival with the Silver Hugo Award for Best Actor .In 2012, he was awarded the Gopo Award for Best Male Performance.He was married with actress Adriana Irimescu.They have two children,Marc and Ariadna .
