While working on the movie, Schultz asked Goldberg to pass on his request to make an appearance on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987).Upon meeting George Peppard the first time when The A-Team (1983) was beginning, he respectfully introduced himself to Peppard as Dwight Schultz.
