Jacques Nolot

Jacques Nolot was born on 31 August 1943 in Marcillac, France and is a well known stage and character actor whose first feature film L'arri��re pays (1998) won the First Film Special Distinction Award at the Montreal World Film Festival and a FIPRESCI Special Mention Award at the Venice Film Festival both in 1998. It earned a nomination for Best New Director of a Feature Film at the C��sar Awards in 1999. His next movie The Eagle with Two Heads (1948) also was critically acclaimed. He previously shot the short film Man��ge (1986) and also wrote several screenplays including J'embrasse pas (1991) and La Matiouette (1983), both directed by Andr�� T��chin�� and Guys in the Cafe (1988), directed by Paul Vecchiali. Nolot first appeared in H?tel des Am��riques (1981) and performed in many other films including Viva la vie (1984), Scene of the Crime (1986), Les innocents (1987) or N��nette et Boni (1996).
