(1961), a music drama based on a hit cover of the same Italian song that Elvis Presley covered as "Surrender". After the great success of his directorial debut, Lindman made three other movies for S?rkk?'s company.In 1963 Finnish movie industry collapsed and like most of the cast and crew, Lindman moved to television for which he made his most important and best-remembered films. Stormsk?rs Maja (1975) was an epic story of a poor fisherman and his wife; the Swedish-language mini-TV-series proved Lindman's skills as a director.
