
American actor David Lee Garver was attending the University of Kansas when he landed his first film credit as a stand-in for Lukas Haas in Tim Burton's Mars Attacks! (1996). Soon after, he moved to New York City and was cast in Biohazardous (2001) alongside Katheryn Winnick and Sprague Grayden which led to starring roles in Bedford Springs (2002) (HBO Europe) and Slumming (2005) opposite Tamara Feldman and Jennifer Lynch. Several film, television, stage, and commercial appearances followed.In 2010 Garver originated the role of Jimmy Halkin in Henry Jaglom's Just 45 Minutes From Broadway. The play co-starred Karen Black and David Proval, and ran for 10 months at the Frank Gehry-designed Edgemar Center Theatre in Santa Monica. Judd Nelson plays the character in the film of the same name.Garver has been nominated for several awards over the years including Best Actor at the 2005 AOF Film Festival for Slumming.
