In the story, it was because she gave one of her lucky earrings to her brother (Ganya Ivanov), who was later killed in action (Babylon 5 movie: In The Beginning), but in reality it was for her elder brother Patrick, who was killed by a drunk driver when she was 8 years old.When Gary DeVore disappeared in mysterious circumstances, Claudia hired private investigators and ex-marines to look for him.
