Her other roles have included Detective Inspector Kate Ashurst in Murder in Suburbia, Detective Inspector Helen Morton in DCI Banks, and PC Cheryl Hutchins in The Vice.

Tivia: Plays in a folk band called Sapphire.She changed her birth surname from Caplan to Catz as there was already an actress with that name. She came up with the last name after seeing a doodle of a cat but ironically she is extremely allergic to cats.She has a son Sonny-Joe Caplan-Higgs (born 2001) and a daughter Honor-Ray Caplan-Higgs (born 2006), with actor husband Michael Higgs. They met on the set of the TV programme The Bill (1984).Caroline Catz has played a Police Officer in 4 different TV series. In 1998-2000, she was WPC/SGT/DS Rosie Fox in The Bill (1984).
