His connection to the world of cinema began 1980 as a restaurateur in a small movie theatre in Berlin, Germany where he had to do with the results of 5 years of a daily shown The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). Later he worked as ticket clerk and movie presenter at the same theatre. Since 1984 he along with others manages the Delphi movie theatre in Berlin. Since 1987 he also participates managing some theatres called the City Kinos in Munich. 1987 he founded the Delphi Filmverleih (distribution). 1991 he founded the Boje Buck Filmproduktion together with Detlev Buck. In 1992 he founded the Boje Buck Produktion GmbH.
