Paul David McCrane is an American film, television and theatre actor, as well as a television director and singer. He is known for his portrayal of Montgomery MacNeil in the 1980 film Fame, Frank Berry in the 1984 film The Hotel New Hampshire, Emil Antonowsky in RoboCop, and Robert Romano on the NBC medical drama television series ER.

Tivia: In addition to being one of the stars of the movie Fame (1980) he performed his own song, "Is It Okay If I Call You Mine?" which he had written for a high school girlfriend, in the film.Recorded a song, called "Miles from Here", for Fame (1980) that was cut out from the film, but added to the soundtrack as a previously unreleased track in 2003.Was nominated for a Young Artists Award for Best Young Actor in Fame 1979-1980.Still stays in contact with his Fame (1980) co-star, Maureen Teefy.Graduated from Holy Ghost Preparatory School, a Catholic school in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, in 1978.McCrane's wife, Dana Kellin, is a jewelry designer.
