Sara Foster released an emotional podcast episode about “cutting people out” of her life shortly after news broke of her separation from longtime partner Tommy Haas.
Sara and her sister Erin Foster spoke with “It Ends With Us” star and director Justin Baldoni about her mission to achieve deeper relationships with people on “The World’s First Podcast” Thursday, which they recorded prior to the breakup making headlines.
“I have walls everywhere, and it’s only been in the last two years where I’ve decided I don’t want those walls anymore. Like, I’ve never been someone that tells what I feel, like, truly,” Sara began.

Sara, 43, explained that she started going to therapy three years ago in order to better express how she feels to people.
“I’m craving surrounding myself with people who will also show up like that. I just have no time for anything else. That’s where I’m at right now, and I’m just cutting people out left and right,” she continued.
Sara added that her goal is to become an “open f–king can of worms.”
“I’m just craving f–king deep, hard conversations, and I think because I’ve avoided hard conversations my entire life, I’m like, if you’re here to small talk, you’re out. You’re f–king out. Like, I need to go deep or we’re not going [there].”
After both Erin, 41, and Baldoni, 40, applauded Sara for her vulnerability, she started to get emotional and tear up over being “a little late” to the journey while also finding it to be “the exact perfect timing.”
Erin also chimed in to remind her sister that it is healthy for her to let people see she is “struggling” or “sad.”
People reported Wednesday that Sara and Haas, 46, have separated after nearly 20 years together, with a source telling the magazine that the pair are “entirely focused on co-parenting their two daughters.”
They share Valentina, 13, and Josephine, 8.
The Favorite Daughter co-founder and the former tennis player, who never married, have yet to publicly address their split.
